In 1874 the Star Hotel was first opened as the Builders Arms Hotel by James Walsh, it was later named the Star Hotel By Mrs Jane Poole who took over as licensee in 1879. 

After multiple upgrades and renovations over recent years, the Star hotel has managed to maintain the perfect blend of a traditional heritage Aussie pub as well as the sophisticated elegance of the city.
